Volume flow controllers Roccheggiani RQ
Serie, are used to regulate automatically
a required air flow in rectangular ducts.
Their task is to keep a default nominal va-
lue of the volume flow regardless of the
varying pressure in the duct. The air flow
can be easily calibrated manually using
the scale on the outside of the regulator.

Functioning
The RQ Series constant volume flow con-
trollers have an automatic actuator that,
without the use of auxiliary power, is capable of maintaining
the air flow constant within a predefined field of differential
pressures.
The controller operates reliably from a minimum pressure
difference, which depends on the air velocity, to a maximum
pressure difference of 1000 Pa. The flow rate variation is
usually within a tolerance of ± 10 %.

Construction characteristics
The housing of the controller is made from galvanized sheet.
The control plate is supported by two bearings, which are
maintenance-free and smooth-running, to prevent the control
plate from vibrating and oscillating and to guarantee fine re-
gulation.

Adjustment
The air volume controllers are supplied ready-calibrated in
line with customer specifications. By using a 2mm Allen key,
the air flow can easily be regulated within the range requested
by the customer.
